Done
Well we did it. All moved in. Finished. Well except for the countless piles of crap in our garage and all of the unpacked boxes upstairs and the infinite amount of things that we would eventually like to do to the house and yard....
Besides that we are done :)
Clark handled the move in somewhat good fashion. Im not sure what he thinks about the new place, however, he played for about 3 hours yesterday on the deck buck naked so I am guessing that things are good in his world.
As for me. All I can say is 10 minutes. Our new house is a downright geographical odity... 10 minutes from everything. By everything I mean it takes me 10 minutes to drive to the Rice Pinnacle Parking Area where I bike or 10 minutes to ride to the trailhead off Pole Cresman. So bike or ride it only take 10 minutes to hit some sweet singletrack. AWESOME!!!

Grossology
So I took my first stab at plumbing last night. Took the toilet off and replaced the wax ring. That was an adventure... Whew... I am glad that part is done. Hopefully we will be moving in this Saturday. Let's hope that all of the stars align.

6 hours of Warrior Creek
Well 6 hours of WC came and went. It was awesome to see some of the ol' Bike Factory crew at the race and ride with S. Janes for a bit. All in all the race went well for me. I had the normal full body cramping after hour 5, however, I was able to fight through it and finish strong with 4 laps for total of 50 miles in just under 7 hours. For the first race of the season I was super proud. All of the hours on the trainer really paid off! It was also great to get encouraged by Stephen, Danny O and Shawn T on the course. Cant wait for the next one. Probably sometime in September of October I would imagine. In between that look for some posts about my Mt. Rainer and Baker mountaineering trip!!!

Asheville Tourists Fan Fest
Tonight to kick off the opener this week, the Asheville tourists had Fan Fest. The Tourists were playing the UNCA Bulldogs as a fundraiser for the baseball scholarship program at UNCA. We went as a family to enjoy some baseball and $1 hot dogs! They had a little area set up for kids to see how fast they could throw the ball. Clark loved it. I mean LOVED it! He would throw balls as fast as they could hand them to him. Clark overall had a blast. He danced to the music, loved clapping, and he liked looking at the mascot from a distance.
I'll take that!

Happy Easter
Easter has brought with it some amazing weather and the LaVoie family took full advantage. After a relaxing morning we all packed up and went to Carrier Park to watch the riders on the VeloDrome and to play on the playground. Clark had a blast playing on the plane, firetruck and bridge.

Small Pregnancy Scare
We had our first pregnancy scare this weekend. I began having contractions at only 28 weeks pregnant. I was told to lie down for all of Sunday, and I was checked out on Monday. It was determined that I am not in pre-term labor, but I am trying to do too much stuff. So now I am being told to drink more water, eat more protein, and get more rest. When Clark naps, it is doctor's orders for me to lie down as well. After two days of following this, it is amazing at how much better I feel. I just did not realize I was over doing it, but it looks like everything is back on track.
Easter Egg-stravaganza
On Saturday, Clark, Nana, and I went to the Easter Egg-stravaganza sponsored by Bo-Jangles. Clark had lots of fun. He enjoyed the fire truck more than anything. He got really excited about seeing the Easter bunny, but the pictures do not show his excitement. The Bo-Jangles chicken scared him to death, and he cried every time he saw the chicken. He got to do the Easter Egg hunt for the three and under kids. It was just a bunch of eggs thrown on the ground. He would not put them in his basket, but he thought it was fun to pick them up and throw them in the air.

Spring Break
So Spring Break this year was fantastic. I headed down to SC to help train our new trip leading staff. We spent time at Paris Mtn (biking/trailwork), Crowders Mtn (climbing/rappeling), the Broad and Lower Green River (paddling). The students learned a ton and I had a blast being outside. Here are a couple of pics from the training.
